To release, lift the edge or slide off. They're oven safe to 450°F, allowing you to use less foil and enjoy less splatter - just leave a small gap between the food and lid to allow for bubbling and expansion.

In the microwave, the lids will vent while cooking then suck back down when cooling. Choose a lid that fully covers the rim of the container, leave a gap between the lid and food, and use a utensil or mitt to lift the edge or slide the lid off when removing.
